Clos Henri Solange Blanc de Noirs 2022

Solange is the Blanc de Noirs from Clos Henri, the Bourgeois family estate in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The name recalls Solange, Henri Bourgeois's wife.

The Pinot Noir is vinified as a white wine and made sparkling by the traditional method, with a second fermentation in bottle. The vineyards grow on Broadbridge and Wither clays.

A sparkling wine of measured weight, in which the ripeness of the fruit meets a lively freshness. The fine and regular bubbles give rhythm to the sip without tightening it, accompanying a silky texture. White peach and wild strawberries define the aromatic profile, picked up on the palate by a sensation of juicy fruit. The acidity supports its progression, leaving a clear and persistent finish. The white vinification of the Pinot Noir maintains a delicate tactile presence, while the second fermentation in bottle integrates the bubbles into the wine’s texture. The style thus preserves volume, precision, and lightness of movement.
