Course information

At Atelier del Vino, WSET courses are taught in English, including the study materials and exams. It is therefore important to choose a level suited both to your wine knowledge and to your ability to study and take an exam in English. If you are unsure, contact us before enrolling.

Level 1 is designed for beginners and anyone wishing to build a foundation. Level 2 explores grape varieties, regions and wine styles in greater depth. Level 3 requires a solid foundation and more independent study, with a more analytical approach to tasting and understanding wine.

If you are unsure where to start, email us with your experience and goals, and we will help you choose a suitable course.

Payment must be received within 7 calendar days of booking and no later than 10 days before the course begins, whichever deadline comes first.

Include your order number and the participant’s name in the payment reference.

Yes. We will send you the textbook before the course begins so you can become familiar with the topics and start preparing. The amount of study required varies by level; please see your chosen course page for specific guidance.

During the lessons, we will explore the material in greater depth, answer questions and put your learning into practice through guided tasting.

Contact us before completing your enrolment so we can discuss your needs and assess the support required. Any adjustments to exam arrangements require prior WSET approval and relevant supporting documentation.

Please contact us well in advance: applications must meet deadlines before the exam date. Our Reasonable Adjustments policy explains the procedure and time limits.

Exams & Results

We will send you your result individually as soon as we receive it from WSET. If you pass, you will also receive links to your WSET digital certificate and digital badge.

Processing times vary by level and run from WSET’s receipt of the completed exam papers, rather than from the exam date.

You can retake the exam. Contact us for available dates, fees and booking arrangements. For Level 3, we will explain which parts you need to retake based on your results.

Resits take place in the same language as your original exam.

Yes. If you believe your result does not reflect your performance, you can request a review through WSET’s Result Enquiry procedure. Contact us promptly after receiving your result, and we will provide the form and details of the fees and process.

WSET must receive the completed request within 15 working days of the result being issued. For failed exams or components, you can also request feedback alongside the review.

If sudden illness, an injury or an event beyond your control affects your attendance or performance at the exam, contact us immediately. We will discuss whether a Special Consideration application can be submitted to WSET, together with the necessary supporting documentation.

Approval is not automatic. Let us know as soon as possible, including on the exam day itself. We must submit the completed application and supporting documentation to WSET within 7 working days after the affected exam.
