Château de Fontaine-Audon Terres de Silex is Domaine Hubert Brochard's Sancerre Blanc dedicated to the estate's flint-rich soils. The Sauvignon Blanc comes from selected plots of this Loire Valley vineyard.
The grapes are pressed without destemming, with gravity-fed handling. The wine ages for over six months in steel; a component matured in an amphora completes the blend.
A medium-bodied white, with measured weight and a structure guided by freshness. The acid tension gives direction to the palate, while the texture remains composed and flowing, without seeking pronounced breadth or creaminess. The aromatic character is discreet, with floral nuances that gradually develop and accompany a persistent finish. The stylistic imprint favors precision and vertical development: the steel keeps the Sauvignon profile legible, while the amphora-aged component contributes to the blend without introducing oak aromas. The result is a reserved Sancerre in expression, in which subtle fragrance, freshness, and continuity of the palate define the character.
