Brut Reserva by Segura Viudas, a Cava from Catalonia made from Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada. The blend combines base wines from several vineyards across the region.
Some of the base wines rest on the lees before tirage. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, followed by at least fifteen months of ageing on the lees.
A medium-bodied sparkling wine with a fresh structure and a soft texture supported by persistent bubbles. The palate remains dry, while contact with the lees adds volume and creates a more relaxed progression. White fruit, lime and pineapple intertwine with floral notes and delicate hints of nuts. The effervescence accompanies the fruit without overpowering it, leading to a fresh and continuous finish. The two stages of contact with the lees, in the base wine and after the second fermentation, define a style in which liveliness and tactile presence remain balanced.
