Alta Naoussa from Thymiopoulos Vineyards is made from pure Xinomavro, grown in plots around Fytia, at an altitude of between 450 and 650 metres. The schist and granite soils and the cooler conditions of the hillside vineyards shape the character of this interpretation of Naoussa PDO.
The skins are left in contact with the must for 18 days, with a small proportion of whole bunches. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts, followed by eight months in French oak vats.
A medium-bodied red, with restrained weight and pronounced freshness that gives the wine lift. The soft tannins are measured and support a silky texture and smooth progression. The aromatic profile is dominated by strawberry and blueberry, accompanied by floral notes and subtle spice. The finish lingers with an earthy hue without losing its fruit character. The hillside origin and the decision to include whole bunches in the vinification define a Xinomavro focused on tension and fine texture rather than substance.
